Through the project, we aim to strengthen young people’s participation in democratic and civic life within the territory of the Union of Municipalities of Trasimeno, an area characterised by territorial fragmentation, youth outmigration and limited opportunities for youth engagement. The main objective is to reactivate and make fully operational the Trasimeno Youth Council as a stable space for dialogue between young people and local institutions, and to make it recognised as a political interlocutor and capable of contributing to local youth policies. Through a pathway combining training, exchange and co-design, the project seeks to strengthen young people’s competences in civic participation, institutional dialogue and collaborative work, while ensuring the inclusion of young people facing barriers to participation. The project also aims to reinforce local youth networks and to establish a national network of Youth Councils, promoting the exchange of good practices.
