The main objective of Breaking the Boxes is to empower young people in Lithuania and Bulgaria to recognise and challenge gender stereotypes that influence their emotions, behaviour, and choices in everyday life. The project aims to create safe and youth-friendly spaces where young people can reflect on gender norms, emotional well-being, and inclusion in schools and communities. Another key objective is to strengthen youth participation and democratic engagement. Young people will actively take part in identifying local needs, co-creating youth-led workshops, and developing Youth Proposals addressed to schools. Through dialogue with principals and teachers, they will experience how their ideas can contribute to real change at school level. Overall, the project aims to support young people in becoming more confident, aware, and active citizens who promote equality, inclusion, and respectful dialogue in their communities.
