The project “Youth Voice on the Move” is designed to empower young people with fewer opportunities from the Linkuva region to participate more actively in social and democratic life. It aims to strengthen their self-confidence, civic awareness and ability to express their opinions, while reducing the social, psychological and geographical barriers that limit their inclusion. The project is based on the principles of respect, tolerance, equal opportunities and non-formal education – voluntarism, experiential learning, reflection and active participation. The main objective of the project is to create a safe and supportive learning environment in which young people can develop civic responsibility, a sense of community and an understanding of how their voice can have a real impact at local and European levels. Through a mobility experience based on the DiscoverEU principles, participants will explore practices of democratic youth participation at local, national and European levels, reflect on the knowledge gained and seek to apply it within their own community. The project focuses on long-term empowerment – supporting young people in moving from the role of passive observers to active participants who are able to initiate change and act responsibly within their environment.
