The main objective of the project is to strengthen staff competences by acquiring good practices, and to design, pilot, and implement an engaging, structured cycle of non-formal education activities for seniors in a cultural heritage environment. The project aims to promote active ageing, reduce social isolation, and increase the participation of seniors by using the manor’s park, architecture, and cultural heritage as resources for learning and wellbeing.
Lūznava Manor is a significant cultural and historical centre in the eastern border region; however, its potential in the field of adult education has not been fully utilised. The region is experiencing population ageing and an increase in social isolation. Within the project, it is planned to learn from the experience of partners in the Puglia region (Italy) in order to transform the manor’s authentic cultural-historical environment and park into an active learning and wellbeing resource.
