The main goal of the project is to strengthen the competences of young people that are essential in today’s digital, democratic, and diverse Europe, using non-formal learning methods and intercultural cooperation. The project is designed so that young people are not passive participants but active co-creators who produce content, take responsibility, and influence the learning process. The youth exchange aims to reach young people across Europe and beyond through digital means, podcasts, short videos, and social media, encouraging them to think and speak about socially important topics. The project will help young people understand and analyse issues such as democracy, equality, inclusion, combating discrimination, community participation, and the quality of information in the modern digital space. 1. To develop young people’s digital and media literacy competences The project will provide hands-on learning with real tools for creating podcasts and videos, editing, structuring digital content, and publishing. Young people will strengthen their ability to critically evaluate information, recognise disinformation, understand social media algorithms, and operate safely in digital environments. These are essential skills in contemporary youth work. 2. To promote civic engagement and understanding of European values By working with topics that truly matter to young people (equality, democracy, inclusion, combating discrimination, community involvement), participants will learn to express their opinions, analyse social issues, and create content that encourages active civic participation. The aim is to help young people develop a sense that their voice is meaningful and influential, and that civic engagement has value. 3. To strengthen cooperation, teamwork, and intercultural competences By working in international teams, young people will develop communication skills, empathy, conflict-resolution abilities, decision-making skills, and teamwork capacities. A safe environment will be created where participants can learn from one another, understand different cultures, and overcome stereotypes. 4. To ensure active youth participation in all phases of the project Young people contributed to the creation of the project idea, and during the youth exchange they will be responsible for idea development, content creation, designing the podcast logo, democratic voting, leading activities, and reflection. Their leadership, organisational, and self-directed learning skills will be strengthened — all of which are central objectives of youth work. 5. To support young people’s personal development and self-confidence Non-formal learning methods will help participants identify their strengths, practise public speaking, solve problems creatively, and present themselves professionally. The Youthpass tool will support the structured recognition and documentation of competences, helping young people apply their new skills in future education and career paths. 6. To strengthen the capacity of youth organisations Partner organisations will gain new methods for working with young people — especially in the areas of digital tools, media literacy, and participation. The project will generate resources and practices that organisations can integrate into their everyday work, such as social media content creation, and will provide valuable knowledge for future Erasmus+ projects.
