In an era of "hyper-consumption" and constant digital stimulation, young people increasingly use technology as a tool for self-regulation, often "swiping away" difficult emotions. This has led to a documented rise in mental health challenges, with nearly 50% of EU youth facing psychological distress and severe loneliness. Our observations in youth centers and schools confirm that this digital saturation results in a profound disconnection from oneself, others, and the natural world. This project addresses the urgent need to transform "digital fatigue" into conscious, active citizenship. By implementing this project, we want to achieve a shift from passive, screen-based consumption to active, experiential learning. We aim to equip young people with emotional regulation tools and foster a "Slow Living" mindset that prioritizes mental well-being over constant digital connectivity. From a youth work perspective, we seek to create a transformative "safe space" where participants from diverse backgrounds can rediscover their agency, build authentic face-to-face relationships, and recognize nature as a vital resource for lifelong resilience. The project aims to empower participants aged 16–25 by achieving four key objectives: - Authentic Agency: Strengthening self-reliance through workshops on personal values. - Emotional Intelligence: Equipping youth with practical nervous system regulation tools to enhance resilience and mental well-being. - Social Competencies: Fostering empathetic, face-to-face dialogue and building trust in a safe, inclusive environment. - Ecological Awareness: Promoting a sustainable mindset by experiencing nature as a vital resource for health and reflection.
