The main objective of the project is to strengthen young people’s capacity to critically engage with media narratives on migration and to support their active participation in public discourse through non-formal education. From a youth work perspective, the project aims to equip participants with practical tools that they can use in their everyday lives and local youth work contexts. Through non-formal learning methods, the project seeks to develop participants’ media literacy, critical thinking and communication skills, enabling them to analyse news content, recognise manipulation and understand the social, political and economic factors behind migration. Another key objective is to empower young people as active contributors, not passive consumers of information. By involving participants in interviews, fieldwork and documentary production, the project promotes youth-led learning, teamwork and responsibility, while giving young people a voice in addressing socially relevant topics. Finally, the project aims to foster intercultural understanding, empathy and inclusive attitudes, supporting young people in engaging constructively with diversity in their local communities and strengthening their role as active citizens.
