PROJECT AIM Help young people identify and develop their soft skills through non-formal education, simulation, and coaching activities in order to strengthen youth employability and confidence in entering the labour market. WHY THIS PROJECT? Youth employability remains a significant challenge across Europe. Many young people completing formal education struggle to transition into employment because technical knowledge alone is often not enough and employers increasingly value competences such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, and emotional resilience. Young people frequently report difficulties related to self-confidence, stress management, teamwork, and initiative. These gaps can lead to frustration, demotivation, and delayed entry into the workforce. While soft skills are widely recognised as important, young people often lack accessible opportunities and practical environments to develop them. This youth exchange responds to that need by creating a supportive, non-formal learning space where participants can build essential soft skills through experiential learning, peer collaboration, and reflection. PROBLEMS → PROJECT SOLUTIONS The project addresses key challenges faced by young people: • Limited understanding of what soft skills are → participants learn their importance for employability • Difficulty recognising personal strengths → participants identify their existing soft skills • Uncertainty about career development → participants define which skills to strengthen based on their goals PROJECT OBJECTIVES 1. Strengthen employability-related soft skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, leadership, and emotional intelligence 2. Increase participants’ confidence and resilience in navigating professional challenges 3. Promote intercultural understanding and European cooperation through peer learning 4. Encourage reflective learning and long-term personal development EXPECTED OUTCOMES FOR PARTICIPANTS By the end of the exchange, participants will: • Understand the role of soft skills in employability • Identify and strengthen their personal competences • Gain practical job-search knowledge and self-presentation skills • Feel more confident, motivated, and prepared for future professional pathways
