Objectives

The aim of the project is to strengthen young people’s media literacy, critical thinking, and understanding of the importance of democracy, providing them with practical tools to become responsible consumers and creators of information. At the same time, the project promotes participation, cooperation, and mutual understanding among young people from Latvia and Georgia. It gives participants the opportunity to actively engage in creative and interactive activities, such as discussions, podcast production, poster creation, and thematic workshops, thereby fostering practical learning and non-formal education. From a youth work practice perspective, the project seeks to: 1. Develop young people’s skills to critically evaluate information, recognize disinformation, and understand the impact of media on society. 2. Promote intercultural dialogue, tolerance, and cooperation among young people from different countries and cultures. 3. Provide a safe environment where young people can freely express their opinions, experiment with creative formats, and learn to collaborate. 4. Encourage young people to actively participate in the organization of the project by leading activities, documenting events, and sharing experiences, thereby strengthening their sense of responsibility and leadership skills. 5. Ensure the sustainable dissemination and use of project results so that the skills and knowledge gained remain useful beyond the project’s duration, fostering further initiatives and cooperation. Overall, the project aims to help young people become more knowledgeable, critical, creative, and active in their communities while reinforcing European and intercultural values.
