Through our project, we aim to find out, discuss and show to society youth problems which are relevant for our participating youth workers, young people they work with, and our societies and countries. Also, suggest solutions for making changes and taking steps forward. We focus on problems that are mainly caused by two aspects: 1) Lack of self-awareness skills, such as self-reflection, self-recognition, self-understanding, self-acceptance, and self-esteem. 2) Lack of self-realization capacity: knowledge, tools, and competences for self-expression, self-representation, and self-manifestation. Our project is fully based on non-formal education methods. To develop self-awareness skills we will use different effective instruments that can be easily adapted to non-formal education frameworks. As for increasing self-realization capacity, we will also use the powerful and creative tool: “short amateur film making”, since it is a very accessible way to record and edit with user-friendly gadgets, and it is also very trendy and effective to spread and reach your say to thousands of people. Our project has the following objectives: 1) To explore social challenges faced by young people in our societies and countries. 2) To address and discuss youth problems and their underlying causes that are relevant to our participants and the young people they work with. 3) To create a digital ”Solution Plan To Change” which will include all identified and shared problems during the project, causing reasons, solving steps and dealing ways suggested by the participant youth workers. 4) To publicly share a digital “Solution Plan to Change” and make it accessible to other young people, youth workers, organisations, and youth centres across the EU and neighbouring countries. So it will have an informative and also practical usage for the young people outside our project and also for our youth workers in their future work practice. 5) To increase participants’ self-awareness by experiencing mindfulness-based activities, methods, and tools. 6) To build participants’ resilience, confidence, and self-esteem through experiential learning activities. 7) To equip youth workers with practical skills and methodologies to help young people identify their problems and feel able to talk about them. 8) To enhance participants’ self-expression capacity by developing their digital and scriptwriting skills. Teaching them how to create short amateur films and how to use them as a creative communication tool to speak up about youth problems and make them visible to society at large. 9) To create and disseminate a Digital Toolkit that compiles project methodologies, tools, and materials, ensuring accessibility for youth workers and organisations across Europe.
