Objectives

The project “From Thinking to Speaking: Critical Thinking, Media Literacy and Podcasting Tools for Youth Workers” aims to strengthen the professional competences of youth workers in supporting young people to navigate misinformation, develop critical thinking skills and express their voices confidently and responsibly in public spaces. From a youth work perspective, the project seeks to: • equip youth workers with practical, transferable tools to facilitate critical thinking and media literacy activities; • strengthen their capacity to guide structured discussions, debates and public speaking sessions with young people; • provide hands-on skills in podcast production as an innovative digital youth engagement method; • enhance their ability to address misinformation, cognitive biases and polarisation in a non-formal learning environment; • foster innovation in digital youth work through responsible content creation and reflective communication practices. The project responds to the increasing need for youth workers to confidently moderate discussions around complex social topics, misinformation and online narratives. By combining critical thinking methodology with public speaking training and podcast-based learning tools, the project enhances both facilitation skills and digital competences. The overall objective is to improve the quality, relevance and innovation of youth work by integrating structured critical thinking, responsible communication and digital engagement tools into everyday youth work practice across participating countries.
