By implementing the project “Man ir teikšana 2.0”, we aim to address the low level of youth participation in local decision-making processes, which is often caused by a lack of information, unclear procedures and the feeling that young people’s opinions are not taken into account. The project is designed for young people aged 13 to 25 in Liepāja and its surrounding area, who need modern, digital and youth-friendly ways to engage in civic and community life. The aim of the project is to make youth participation accessible and practical by providing clear information about participation opportunities, creating a safe space for dialogue with decision-makers, and strengthening young people’s skills to express their opinions and propose solutions. The project helps young people to recognise their impact, encourages active citizenship, and strengthens the connection between young people and the local municipality.
