We aim to strengthen young people’s informed participation in Latvia’s democratic life ahead of the Saeima elections by reducing the distance many feel from politics. The project equips youth from different regions and backgrounds with practical civic and media-literacy competences they can use immediately, and supports a key behavioural outcome: greater confidence and willingness to vote. Objectives: (1) ensure participants understand how Saeima elections and voting work, what parties/representatives are responsible for, and how accountability functions; (2) strengthen political self-efficacy so young people feel their participation matters; (3) improve practical media and political-information literacy by recognising framing, selective data use and context manipulation beyond “fake vs real”; (4) build capacity to compare party positions through a youth lens by analysing programmes and proposals against youth priorities and basic feasibility criteria.
