Objectives

By implementing this project, we aim to strengthen our staff’s competences in mobile-first digital education, trauma-aware facilitation, RPL, micro-credential design, and beginner AI tools. We will modernise our curriculum, raise completion rates, and widen access to training in marginalised communities. Our goal is to boost adults’ digital independence, employability, and active participation through a more inclusive and sustainable education approach.

Background

We applied for this project because our needs analysis revealed a deep digital skills gap among adults in marginalised communities in Gozo, combined with limited internal capacity to teach mobile-first digital competences. Many learners depend only on smartphones and lack formal qualifications. To respond effectively and sustainably, we need to strengthen our staff’s pedagogical skills, modernise our curriculum, and adopt inclusive, practical methods aligned with DigComp and European standards.
