Objectives

Creative Futures aims to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to respond to the rapidly evolving realities faced by young people across Europe. The project emerges from the recognition that youth work today operates in a complex environment shaped by digital transformation, social fragmentation, emotional challenges and changing forms of participation. In this context, youth workers require updated competences, creative methodologies and supportive professional spaces that allow them to engage young people in meaningful and inclusive ways. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project seeks to support youth workers in developing approaches that place participation, creativity, reflection and human connection at the centre of their work. It aims to reinforce their role not only as facilitators of activities, but as educators, mentors and community actors capable of creating safe learning environments and fostering active engagement among young people. The main objectives of the project are to strengthen competences in non-formal education and participatory methodologies, introduce theatre and storytelling as tools for dialogue and empowerment, and support youth workers in navigating digital realities through critical and ethical engagement. The project also aims to enhance emotional awareness, intercultural understanding and the capacity to create inclusive spaces where diverse young people feel represented and heard. By investing in the professional development of youth workers, Creative Futures contributes to improving the quality, relevance and innovation of youth work practice, supporting those who work directly with young people in their everyday educational and community contexts.
