In a context of ecological and social uncertainty, BFF aims to support youth in reconnecting with hope, and to empower young people to shape a just, inclusive, and regenerative future by strengthening their sense of agency. Building on a non-formal learning approach, it creates a participatory journey that goes from reflection and learning to concrete action. Through a series of non-formal learning sessions using unconference models, external decision-makers are brought into direct contact with young people’s needs, while young participants are empowered to step into decision-making roles themselves. A festival and a visit to a regenerative farm provide a hands-on dimension and to the participant's learning path. As an output, a youth-led podcast on systemic change will capture participants’ ideas, and make their voices heard to a broader audience. Additionally, we aim to inspire young people to join the 7 Billion Presidents movement, as well as for us to further represent their needs.
