The objectives of the project is to learn non-formal tools and methods to work with youngsters, to get acquainted with the Erasmus + program and international projects, and to get new ideas and perspectives on how to organise events and festivals together with youngsters. Tania and her colleagues from Nord-Troms Museum need more experiences about nonformal methods with teenagers. They have challenges with 13-15 years old museum visitors from schools. In this age youngsters don't have patience just to listen to explanations about past times. Youngs need more action. Länsi-Saimaan 4H-yhdistys has a lot of experience with working with teenagers and with nonformal methods. And they can guide workshops of nonformal methods and give new ideas on how to use these methods. Länsi-Saimaan 4H-yhdistys has been responsible for organising LMF events together with a youthworker from Lemi municipality. There are groups of voluntary youngsters who plan and implement events. The adult leaders from Länsi-Saimaan 4H-yhdistys and Lemi municipality are only supporters and enablers to the participating youngsters. The youthworker from Lemin municipality is one participant and one participant comes from neighbour 4H-association. They want to learn more about Erasmus+ program. Merja Kuukka from 4H-yhdistys is interested in making a job shadowing in Nord-Troms museum, Kafjord during the Riddu Riddu festival . She wants to learn and observe how Riddu Riddu is organized, founded, how they recruit volunteers, and how youth participation is taken into account. Nord-Troms museum has experience with the children and youth festival at Riddu Riddu and Merja will be a part of this team together with Tania from Nord-Troms museum. The two of us met each other on a study visit supported by the Norwegian and Finnish NAs in April 2025.
