The idea for the exchange on the topic of shared history is the result of the interests of several students, wards of the Association. These are people who are keenly interested in tradition, its roots, and are also fans of the series "1670", which in a comedic way refers to the vices of the nobility of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and also mixes fictional past with the present (there are even references to the Erasmus+ Program). This series and conversations with a history teacher about radical attitudes, which are becoming more and more common in social media and create a stereotypical image of other nations, inspired them to meet with peers from Lithuania and look at what is the strength of our common history, what is the responsibility in building a future common history. During the project, the youth will take a broader look at the history and concept of the Intermarium. It is the awareness of common issues with Ukraine, Belarus and, more broadly, other countries of Central, Eastern and East Europe. The result of the project is to be a deepening of the awareness of intercultural identity, its impact on who the youth is and who they can be in the future. It is a deepening of reflection on the future and tasks of the European Union in the context of socio-political issues affecting neighboring countries. It is also the strengthening of social, civic, language, technological and organizational competences. Participation in the project is to help young people to place important historical and social contexts in everyday life, in known tradition, or stereotypes.
