The primary aim of "RefuGENIOUS" is to empower a professional network of youth workers to deliver high-quality, inclusive youth work that addresses the unique needs of young refugees and local youth in receiving communities. From a youth work practice perspective, we want to move beyond basic humanitarian aid toward long-term social empowerment and integration. Our objectives focus on developing specific competences: first, to strengthen 27 youth workers' skills in inclusive facilitation, intercultural communication, and trauma-sensitive approaches; second, to equip them with a tested "toolbox" of at least 5 non-formal methods - such as Forum Theatre and the Human Library - that create safe spaces for mixed groups; third, to increase the professional confidence of these youth workers by at least 30%, ensuring they feel ready to handle complex group dynamics and discrimination in their daily work. Ultimately, we aim to destroy the social barriers between immigrant communities and local societies by training youth workers to act as effective "social bridges".
