Objectives

The overall aim of the project is to enhance the well-being, resilience, and sustainable engagement of youth workers and young people by integrating body-based and nature-oriented methods into youth work practice. To make this aim concrete, we set short-, medium-, and long-term objectives: Short-term objectives (during and immediately after the Training Course, 0–3 months): Equip 24 youth workers from 8 countries with at least 10 practical embodiment and nature-based methods (e.g. mindful breathing, sensory walks, creative outdoor reflection, authentic movement) that they can directly implement in youth work sessions. Support each participant to design a personal action plan with 1–3 concrete practices to integrate into their daily life and professional context, ensuring transferability. Establish an accountability buddy system so that each participant has peer support for sustaining new practices beyond the training. Produce and publish 5 accessible outputs (handbook, 8 short videos, poster/infographic, mindfulness cards, webinar) and make them freely available online for youth workers across Europe. Medium-term objectives (up to 12 months after the Training Course): Ensure that at least 80% of participants apply the practices in their youth work, reaching an estimated 300–400 young people in their local communities. Support participants in facilitating at least 8 dissemination workshops (one per country), where participants share methods with colleagues and young people, creating multiplier effects in their organisations. Deliver one open, online webinar (in English) reaching at least external youth workers across Europe through partners and partners’ networks. Support participants in piloting at least 1 new project or initiative per national group inspired by the training (e.g. mindful walks, forest-based workshops, creative youth events). Long-term objectives (12+ months, sustained impact): Contribute to a European network of youth workers practicing eco-somatic and embodied methods, fostering ongoing exchange of resources and practices. Ensure that outputs (handbook, videos, cards) remain freely accessible online for at least 2 years, serving as reference material for youth workers, trainers, and organisations. Strengthen youth work across Europe by introducing holistic, embodied, and sustainable practices into mainstream youth work contexts, inspiring further Erasmus+ projects and strategic partnerships. Contribute to youth well-being, resilience, and ecological awareness by equipping young people with tools for self-regulation, creativity, and balance, thereby supporting their active and sustainable engagement in society. Advance the European dimension of youth work by fostering intercultural dialogue, shared learning across eight countries, and the promotion of inclusive, sustainable practices within a European framework. This includes encouraging a sense of European identity, collaboration, and solidarity among youth workers and young people, while promoting the Erasmus+ values of diversity, sustainability, and active participation. By combining immediate personal transformation of youth workers with concrete outputs, community-based dissemination, and long-term networking, the project ensures that results will be visible, measurable, and sustainable at the local, national, and European level.
