Mens Sana in Corpore Sano PRO is an Erasmus+ KA153 initiative bringing together European and Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries through two Professional Development Activities (PDA). The project creates a concrete learning and exchange space where participants can deepen their understanding of self-awareness, resilience, and wellbeing competences — both in their personal and professional lives, and in their work with young people. Building on the success of its first edition, this second phase aims to replicate and expand the positive impact, while addressing the emerging needs of youth workers who increasingly face cases of depression, stress disorders, anxiety, fear, and trauma — challenges that have been amplified by today’s historical and geopolitical context. The project recognises that the wellbeing of youth workers directly influences the quality of youth work services and the support they provide to young people. By enhancing mental health literacy, creating spaces for reflection, and sharing innovative practices, the project aspires to contribute to a more resilient, balanced, and supportive European and EaP youth work community. The project pursues the following objectives: * Exchange and Innovation: To familiarise youth workers with both innovative approaches and existing good practices, while identifying common challenges across partner countries. * Conceptual Exploration: To reflect on and critically explore the concept of mental health and wellbeing in the youth work sector. * Practical Application: To analyse and co-develop activities, methods, and practices that support youth workers in maintaining balance in their professional and personal environments. * Mental Health Literacy: To equip youth workers and young people with knowledge, skills, and attitudes to manage, normalise, and promote mental health as a positive and empowering resource. * Resilience and Coping Strategies: To strengthen the ability of youth workers, their organisations, and teams to manage stress, regulate emotions, and apply effective techniques and methods for wellbeing. * Adaptability and Reconnection: To support youth workers in adapting to changing circumstances, reconnecting with nature, community, and balance in their personal and professional lives. * Competence Development: To build and enhance the mental health competences of youth workers through peer learning and the sharing of experiences. * Mainstreaming Mental Health in Erasmus+: To increase the visibility and number of Erasmus+ projects addressing mental health and wellbeing, encouraging the mainstreaming of these themes in the European youth sector.
