The “Democratic Dialogue on Prevention” project was initiated by young people from Sławków in response to the lack of real influence that youth have over decisions concerning health and prevention in schools and in local public policies. Young people face challenges related to lifestyle, non-communicable diseases, mental health, and misinformation, yet they are rarely invited to co-create solutions. The goal of the project is to establish a genuine Youth Dialogue process in which people aged 15–19 become co-authors of problem diagnosis, peer consultations, and recommendations addressed to decision-makers responsible for health and education. The project pursues civic goals (strengthening youth voice and democratic competences), social goals (bringing young people’s real health needs into the public sphere), and educational goals (developing knowledge, critical thinking, and advocacy skills).
