Objectives

Opole Sm@rt City 2030 is being launched at the initiative of young people from Opole in cooperation with the MIĘDZYNARODOWA FUNDACJA ROSA VENTORUM (International Rosa Ventorum Foundation). Its main objective will be to raise young residents’ awareness of smart urban solutions and to involve them in decision-making processes concerning Opole’s future. Throughout the project, we will develop young people’s competencies in new technologies, sustainable development, and innovative, design-oriented thinking, so that a cohort of young leaders emerges ready to initiate concrete, positive changes in the urban environment. The initiative responds to a real need to better understand the smart city concept and the role young people can play in it. Thanks to the planned activities, participants will gain practical knowledge, a sense of agency, and experience useful both in further education and professional life, while the city will receive fresh recommendations co-created with young people.
