Polish teenagers rank among the world's top in civic knowledge (ICCS 2022: 3rd place), yet fail to use it — only 27% of Poles under 30 voted in the 2024 EP elections. 60% of youth from small Silesian towns are unaware of mechanisms to influence EU decisions (Youth Voice 2023). AYDE addresses this gap through four objectives: (1) increasing 200 young people's knowledge of the EP and EU processes (min. 30% pre/post-test improvement), (2) training 20 leaders capable of independently running participatory activities, (3) creating a youth–decision-maker dialogue model based on the RPG game "Europarliament 2.0" and meetings with real politicians across 20 locations in Silesian voivodeship, (4) reaching 10,000+ young people with reliable EU content via social media campaign. The idea originated bottom-up among NEF volunteers: "We want to talk to decision-makers, but don't know how".
