‘City of the Future. Reda 2036’ is a 10-month-long, bold and highly topical participatory project in which the Reda Youth Council and the Reda City Council engage in regular, equal dialogue on the most important challenges facing the younger generation. The project combines decision-making debates, civic education, mental health, future skills and the real impact of young people on local politics. The Foundation wants to co-implement the initiative to give young councillors a voice on issues that are important to them – concerning the future of their city, particularly in the context of new challenges for young people.The project addresses the issues of loneliness in the age of artificial intelligence, disinformation, which paradoxically affects young people in particular, and climate depression. Our main goal is to permanently involve young people in decision-making processes at the local level, to jointly develop a strategic document entitled ‘The Position of the Youth of Reda 2036’.
