The primary goal of the project is to improve the mental well-being, emotional resilience, and overall quality of life of youth workers and young people through the integration of mindfulness, yoga, and emotional intelligence practices. By doing so, we aim to empower youth workers with the tools, knowledge, and methodologies necessary to support the personal development of young individuals, especially in times of increased stress and mental health challenges. One of the core objectives is to equip youth workers with skills and strategies to better support young people in managing stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Through the training course and mindfulness workshops, we aim to introduce youth workers to practical techniques and tools such as mindfulness, yoga, breathing exercises, and emotional intelligence practices and to the biology behind these practices. These methods will enhance their ability to work with young people in a way that promotes emotional well-being and resilience. Another key objective is to encourage the integration of mindfulness and emotional intelligence into everyday youth work practice. Through training, discussions, and peer-sharing activities, youth workers will learn how to incorporate mindfulness techniques. These techniques will allow youth workers to address the mental and emotional needs of young individuals, helping them develop stronger emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience. As youth workers implement these techniques, we hope to see a ripple effect, with young people learning and applying these tools in their own lives. A key goal is to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and well-being within the context of youth development. The project will emphasize the importance of addressing mental health from a holistic perspective, integrating both psychological and physical well-being practices. Through the project’s activities, such as the workshops and educational videos, we aim to encourage youth workers and young people to prioritize their mental health, understand its connection to physical health, and develop practices that support long-term well-being. Through the training and resources provided by the project, we aim to empower young people to take ownership of their mental health and well-being. The mindfulness techniques, yoga practices, and emotional intelligence tools introduced in the project will provide young people with the means to manage stress, build resilience, and maintain emotional balance. By equipping youth workers to pass on these tools, we hope to enable young individuals to cope with life’s challenges more effectively, navigate difficulties with greater ease, and develop a sense of self-efficacy in managing their mental health. The project aims to create a platform for cross-cultural exchange among youth workers from different European countries, encouraging collaboration and the sharing of best practices. By bringing together youth workers from diverse cultural backgrounds, the project will provide a rich learning environment where different perspectives on youth work and mental health can be explored. Youth workers often serve as trusted mentors and guides for young people, and their influence can significantly impact the mental health and emotional well-being of the youth they serve. By providing youth workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to address mental health and emotional resilience in their practice, we aim to empower them to become effective advocates for mental health within their communities. This will not only benefit the young people they work with but will also contribute to reducing stigma around mental health issues and increasing awareness of the importance of emotional well-being. In the long term, the project aims to improve the overall quality of youth work by integrating well-being and mindfulness practices into everyday youth work. By training youth workers and offering a variety of tools and resources, we aim to enhance the quality of services and support provided to young people. This will lead to more effective and holistic youth work practices that are better aligned with the needs of young people in the current socio-cultural climate, which increasingly recognizes the importance of mental health in youth development.. This project will emphasize the importance of a holistic approach to youth development, where both the mental and physical aspects of well-being are considered. We aim to encourage youth workers to adopt an integrated approach that supports young people’s emotional, physical, and mental health. Through mindfulness, yoga, and emotional intelligence training, youth workers will be better prepared to offer young people the tools they need to develop into well-rounded, resilient individuals.
