General objective: to promote a youth democratic participation in Águeda that is more representative, more frequent and more accessible, and that can integrate the territory’s cultural, social and functional diversity. Specific objectives: - strengthen democratic literacy and participation skills; - ensure meaningful youth involvement by guaranteeing accessibility, representativeness and equal opportunities in democratic participation; - support the development of the Intercultural Youth Council (CIJ) as a participation mechanism alternative to conventional formats; - test and improve the CIJ through progressive trials, critical reflection and the incorporation of input from different community stakeholders; - strengthen dialogue between young people and decision-makers, producing results that are transferable at local, national and European levels.
