By implementing the project GREEN&Sustainable Lifestyles, we aim to create an intercultural and non-discriminatory learning and action framework, where young people from Romania,Grecee, North Macedonia, Turkey and Serbia can explore and adopt sustainable lifestyles. The project seeks to strengthen youth work as a space for personal development, competence building and civic engagement, offering participants the chance to learn through non-formal methods, to collaborate transnationally, and to become promoters of inclusion and positive change in their communities. The project objectives are clear and closely linked to young people’s needs: To increase the understanding and responsibility of the 35 participants towards the importance of sustainable lifestyles, by exploring concepts such as circular economy, responsible consumption, slow fashion and waste reduction, within a 11-day intensive programme; To develop the participants’ practical skills in using digital technology, applying sustainable solutions and initiating simple eco-entrepreneurship ideas, through interactive workshops and non-formal practical activities; To promote social inclusion by involving 15 young people with fewer opportunities, offering them real chances of active participation, empowerment and recognition as change-makers, over an 8-month period; To create a transnational network of eco-leaders, composed of 35 young and 5 leaders, who will continue their collaboration for at least 10 months after the exchange, generating common initiatives dedicated to promoting inclusion and sustainable lifestyles. Thus, the project will contribute to the development of key competences for life and work, to increasing young people’s motivation and civic engagement, and to strengthening youth work practices by integrating sustainability and inclusion into non-formal learning activities.
