Objectives

S.E.L.F.Y. is a project developed by a team of young people who want to bring their contribution to society by reducing bullying, improve the psychological resilience of the participants and promote values such as authenticity, courage or kindness. The reason why we want to implement this project is because in today’s societies there are many constraints for the individual identity. Starting with the parenting style of each parent, social media and ending with the school deficiencies, individuals are raised with low self esteem and communication difficulties or even lack of emotional regulation. Therefore, our objectives are: O1: Enhance social competences and stimulate active participation in society of 30 young participants, including group leaders, ages 16-25 years, coming from small communities in 5 participating countries, throughout project activities and a 7 day mobility. O2: Increase self-esteem, self-confidence and mental wellbeing of 30 young adults, including group leaders, ages 16-25 years, coming from small communities in 5 participating countries, by being actively involved and included in all phases of the project. O3: Stimulate intercultural awareness and openness by exposing them to multicultural interactions and providing 30 young participants, including group leaders, ages 16-25 years, coming from small communities in 5 participating countries, with examples of healthy values, such as: equity, tolerance, understanding, acceptance, cooperation and inclusion, during a 7 day mobility. A youth worker should integrate activities that enhance self esteem and the social competence of youngsters as they are in direct contact with young people and can have a greater impact on their development. This application is a resubmission from the previous deadline, with improvements added after analyzing the evaluation from Romanian National Agency and added information from the consortium.
