Through the implementation of the project Ring The Resilience, we aim to respond to a need identified among young people with fewer opportunities: the lack of safe and accessible spaces where they can openly talk about mental health, better understand their emotions, and develop concrete tools for self-care and peer support. Young people from the partner communities, especially those from rural and small urban areas, frequently face stress, anxiety, academic or social pressure, discrimination, and stigma related to mental health. In many cases, access to accurate information and support services is limited. Through this project, we aim to reduce this vulnerability through non-formal education, peer learning, and intercultural experience. The overall objective of the project is to increase the level of mental health literacy, strengthen emotional resilience, and enhance the active engagement capacity of 30 young people with fewer opportunities from 5 countries, through a 10-day youth exchange and follow-up activities in their local communities. The specific objectives of the project are: To increase the level of mental health literacy for 100% of the 30 participants, so that by the end of the mobility they demonstrate improved understanding of basic concepts and the ability to identify early signs of emotional difficulties. Young people will learn what mental health means, which factors influence it, how to recognize myths, and how to access support resources. To equip the 30 young participants with empathetic communication skills and concrete tools to reduce stigma associated with mental health. By the end of the mobility, participants will be able to formulate clear and inclusive messages, engage in non-judgmental conversations, and create awareness materials that promote supportive and inclusive attitudes. To develop collaboration, creative expression, and teamwork competences for at least 75% of participants through their direct involvement in designing and testing a labyrinth theatre experience and developing at least three replicable educational resources. Young people will learn how to transform personal and community experiences into impactful educational messages. To strengthen participants’ capacity to multiply the project’s results, so that within 8 weeks after the mobility at least 50% of them initiate or contribute to local awareness activities, involving at least 150 other young people and using the methodology and resources developed during the project. Through this project, we want young people to become more aware of their own emotions, more confident in their ability to seek and offer support, and better prepared to act in reducing stigma in their communities. We aim to help them develop critical thinking, empathy, intercultural collaboration skills, and civic initiative. In the medium and long term, the project seeks to contribute to the development of a generation of young people who do not avoid the topic of mental health, but approach it in an informed, responsible, and supportive way. Ring The Resilience aims to transform the youth exchange experience into a process of personal growth and empowerment, where participants become positive role models and promoters of openness, inclusion, and mutual support.
