What We Want to Achieve Our main goal is to bridge the gap between historical heritage and modern digital culture, proving that young people can be the creators of a "new view" on society and history. By implementing "The Heritage Narratives," we want to achieve a transformation in how youth interact with their cities, by shifting from passive tourists to active "Digital Guardians", ready to promote their city being it in real life or online through social media reels/posts. We aim to use the "Grand Premiere" presentation as an experimental method for efficient intercultural dialogue, allowing participants to express their emotions and opinions through the universal language of digital storytelling. By mastering the streets of Timisoara and promoting hidden spots instead of crowded tourist areas, we want to initiate a mindset change regarding the importance of active citizenship and local preservation. Ultimately, we want every participant to leave with the confidence that they can use technology not just to consume content, but to preserve culture and influence society. Objectives of Our Project From the perspective of youth work practice, our specific objectives are: Enhance Cultural Awareness and Expression: To increase participants' knowledge of cultural diversity and local heritage by 80%. This will be achieved through the "Master the Streets" tour and "Intercultural Nights," where they will learn to overcome cultural barriers and create digital reels that promote a new perspective on history. Moreover, we want them to feel proud about presenting their city, through the manner of free walking tours. Develop Interpersonal Competences: To achieve a 75% increase in empathy, teamwork, and leadership skills. Through "Body Language" and "Role Play" workshops, and the pressure of organizing the "Grand Premiere," participants will learn to manage time, devise strategies, and speak confidently in public without relying on their phones. Boost Social and Civic Competences: To improve the ability to work in international groups by 80% and increase public heritage awareness by 65%. By "Unpacking the Pitch," participants will learn to transform dry historical facts into engaging stories that matter to society today, promoting hidden cultural gems during the "Treasure Hunt." Advance Technological Innovation: To improve AI and video editing skills by 50%. Through the "CapCut Bootcamp" and "AI as Your Co-Pilot" sessions, participants will master prompt engineering and green screen effects, culminating in the creation of "Digital Home City Free Walking Tour" videos that demonstrate the power of technology in preserving culture. Strengthen Linguistic Skills: To break down language barriers by using English as the working language during "Role play” on Day 3, while establishing digital storytelling as a visual language that transcends complex vocabulary.
