Rural CivicLab aims to reduce the gap between the pro-democratic attitudes of young people in rural areas and their actual capacity for civic participation. Project objectives: O1 – Increasing the facilitation competences in democratic education in rural contexts for 35 trainers, through a 5-day training programme and ongoing mentoring throughout the implementation. O2 – Increasing civic knowledge and civic self-efficacy for at least 120 students from 6 rural communities. O3 – Implementing at least 6 civic mini-projects designed and carried out by students in response to real problems identified locally. O4 – Developing and documenting the Rural CivicLab methodology as a replicable model of democratic education in rural areas, accompanied by support materials for trainers, teachers, and interested organisations.
