The project aims to re-anchor policies and programmes dedicated to young people from rural areas in their current realities, in a context marked by social and economic changes and by the transition to a new funding cycle. It responds to young people’s need to be genuinely heard, to play an active role in defining the priorities that affect their lives, and to see concrete outcomes resulting from their participation. The project’s objectives are: (O1) to empower 20 young people from rural areas as key actors in a participatory research process; (O2) to clarify and validate the priorities of rural youth through consultations with at least 500 young people and 30 stakeholders; (O3) to strengthen the capacity of at least 60 rural young people to influence public decision-making through direct dialogue with decision-makers; (O4) to develop the strategic document “Rural 2035” and support its integration into relevant policies, initiatives or programmes at national or European level.
