We aim to transform Delta from a support unit into an innovation center for flexible learning. The goal is to implement an Eskilstuna Model for asynchronous didactics that bridges the gap between NPF students' capabilities and digital demands. Specifically, we want to create digital inclusion via micro-progression, integrate health directly into course design and strengthen student agency. This will increase graduation rates and reduce exclusion.
Delta, the special needs unit within Adult Education for students with NPF/mental ill-health, faces a rapidly growing target group. Current distance education norms risk excluding these students due to high demands on executive functioning. We lack methods for digital support. By studying the Northern Icelandic ecosystem (SÍMEY, Grófin, MTR), we aim to acquire tools for asynchronous didactics. The goal is to ensure graduation and prepare young students for further education and the labor market.
