The objective of the project is to strengthen participants' professional skills in traditional wooden boat building and to preserve and pass on maritime cultural heritage to future generations. The project will also develop sustainable professional skills with a focus on natural materials and longevity. At the same time, Litorina wants to strengthen staff competence through international exchange of methods and development of teaching methods in vocational education.
We are applying for this project to strengthen the quality of vocational training in traditional wooden boat building and to preserve a cultural heritage. Knowledge of traditional boat building techniques is at risk of being lost, and we want to ensure that it is passed on to future generations. Through international cooperation with partner organisations, Litorina wants to develop new methods, exchange experiences, give participants, staff the opportunity to grow professionally and personally.
