With this youth exchange project, our goal is to address the critical need for digital education, particularly focusing on combating fake news, navigating online information, and enhancing IT protection systems. Over seven days, 36 young participants from 6 countries will engage in an immersive and collaborative learning experience aimed at empowering them to become responsible digital citizens in today's increasingly connected world. One of the primary aims of the project is to equip participants with the tools to critically evaluate online information. In an era dominated by social media and rapid information exchange, young people must learn to distinguish between credible sources and misinformation. This skill is crucial not only for personal decision-making but also for fostering a society that values truth and transparency. Fake news is a pervasive challenge, capable of influencing public opinion, eroding trust in institutions, and polarizing communities. By educating participants about the mechanisms of misinformation such as clickbait, deepfakes, and echo chambers the project seeks to develop their ability to recognize and counteract disinformation. Workshops and simulation exercises will provide practical tools for identifying biases and verifying facts. In the digital age, cybersecurity is essential. Participants will learn about basic IT protection systems, including safeguarding personal data, identifying phishing scams, and managing privacy settings. These skills will help them protect themselves and others from cyber threats, fostering a safer digital environment. By bringing together young people from diverse cultural and national backgrounds, the project creates an opportunity for participants to share perspectives on digital challenges. This collaboration will not only enrich their understanding but also promote intercultural dialogue and unity in addressing global digital issues. This youth exchange project aspires to create a positive effect, where participants take the knowledge and skills gained back to their communities, educating peers and driving positive change. By nurturing digitally literate and responsible youth, we contribute to a more informed, secure, and cohesive society, aligned with European Union priorities for a resilient digital future.
