The project “Youth in Politics” aims to strengthen youth participation in democratic processes in Sweden and Kosovo. It responds to declining youth engagement, low representation of young people in political decision-making, and a lack of practical tools for influencing politics beyond voting. The project seeks to empower young people as active democratic actors by increasing their understanding of democratic systems, political power, and youth representation at local, national, and EU levels. The objectives are to: (1) increase participants’ knowledge of democratic structures and youth representation in Sweden, Kosovo, and the EU; (2) strengthen political literacy and advocacy skills through practical, youth-led tools and methods; and (3) foster cross-border dialogue, cooperation, and shared learning between young people from both countries, contributing to more inclusive and participatory democratic societies.
