The main objective is to research and transfer effective counseling and teaching models for vulnerable adults into our environment. We aim to improve digital competencies for hybrid teaching, develop strategies to reduce dropout rates, and establish a system for validating non-formal learning (micro-credentials). A key goal is to prepare expert foundations for the Ministry of Education to introduce systemic funding for professional adult education counselor positions.
In Slovenia, there is a lack of systematically organized counseling support in VET for adult participants in secondary schools. Our school members face challenges such as high dropout rates, the inclusion of vulnerable groups, and the need for digitization. Since the position of counselor in adult education is not professionalized, we recognize opportunities abroad to acquire proven solutions. We want to empower adult education organizers and teachers who educate adult participants.
