Objectives

With the project Find Your Wings - Movement, Art and Nature for Young People, we aim to provide young people with space, time, and support to reconnect with themselves, with others, and with nature, while at the same time developing key personal, social, and civic competences through high-quality non-formal learning. The project is based on the real needs of young people, who are increasingly facing stress, overload, digital dependency, lack of physical activity, weak connection with nature, and uncertainty about their identity and future. Our main goal is to empower young people as confident, mindful, and active individuals who are able to take care of their physical and mental health and build healthy relationships and solidary communities. From a youth work perspective, we aim to create a safe and inclusive environment where young people can develop competences such as self-reflection, empathy, cooperation, intercultural understanding, responsibility, and active citizenship through experiential learning methods. The project promotes learning through experience, movement, art, and nature, with a strong focus on the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, who often have limited access to international experiences or high-quality personal development programmes. A specific objective of the project is also to strengthen young people’s ability to use digital tools and social media consciously and responsibly, not as an end in themselves, but as a means for spreading positive messages, knowledge, and good practices. The project also has a clear organisational and developmental dimension of youth work, as young people are not only participants but are actively involved in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of the project results. In this way, we strengthen their role as co-creators of projects and future multipliers of youth work in their local communities. The overall objective of the project is therefore long-term: to empower young people to develop their own “wings” and competences that they will be able to transfer to their environments even after the youth exchange has ended.
