With the project CulSolidArt Learning Journey: Culture, Solidarity and Art for Social Inclusion, we aim to strengthen the quality of youth work within the participating organisations by developing concrete competences of youth workers for the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. The project is based on a jointly identified need for new, practical and tested methods, as youth workers increasingly face challenges related to inclusion, lack of appropriate tools and organisational hesitation when working with vulnerable target groups. The main goal of the project is to develop and consolidate the CulSolidArt approach, which connects culture, solidarity and art as powerful tools of youth work. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project enables experiential learning, where participants first explore cultural contexts, then experience solidarity through direct contact with vulnerable groups and local communities, and finally reflect and process their learning through artistic and creative methods. The project empowers youth workers as confident, competent and connected professionals who are able to design inclusive projects, build partnerships and transfer the acquired knowledge into their local environments. The long-term goal is to establish and strengthen the European CulSolidArt network as an example of good practice in youth work.
