At the Crossroads of Cultures - National Conference of European Youth Parliament is a project that seeks to empower young people across Europe to become informed, confident, and active participants in the democratic life at local, national, and international European levels. The project is there to meet the increased need for meaningful youth participation, critical debate, and safe, inclusive spaces for dialogue on current European and global challenges. This project is built with a focus on non-formal education and a simulation of parliamentary processes that will allow our young participants to develop key competencies such as democratic values, intercultural dialogue, inclusion, sustainability, and European solidarity, while strengthening young people’s understanding of EU institutions and decision-making. Ultimately, we hope to ensure that young people feel heard, capable of influencing their communities, and motivated to take on an active role in the shaping of Europe’s future.
