Objectives

We want to improve how youth workers and youth organisations connect with young people in real life by using digital spaces in a smart way. Today, many youth activities start online. Young people find events, topics, and communities through short videos, stories, and posts. Youth+ will help youth workers understand this daily reality and use it in a responsible, ethical, and youth friendly way. Digital communication will not be extra work, but a normal part of good youth work. A key goal is to build strong, practical skills in making short videos. Participants will learn how to plan a video with a clear message and simple storyboard, film with basic tools like a phone, and edit for short formats such as Reels, TikTok, and Shorts. They will also learn how to add subtitles, music, and visuals in a safe and legal way. The focus is on fast and realistic content that youth workers can create often, even every week, to promote activities, share youth voices, and support learning. Another goal is to help youth workers design and run social media campaigns that bring young people into real activities. Participants will learn how to create a content plan, choose the best platform, and write clear captions with strong calls to action. They will also learn how to connect online content with offline activities like events, workshops, and volunteering. In addition, they will use basic analytics such as reach, engagement, saves, and link clicks to see what works and improve their strategy. It will make youth work more visible, more attractive, and easier to access for young people who may not join otherwise. Youth+ also aims to improve digital literacy and safe online behaviour in youth work. Participants will learn how to publish content responsibly, especially when working with young people. They will focus on consent and privacy, inclusive communication, avoiding harmful stereotypes, and building a respectful commenting culture. They will also learn about misinformation risks and how to react in a smart way. This matters because youth workers are role models online and need confidence to guide young people toward safer and healthier digital spaces. The project also aims to strengthen the overall quality and sustainability of digital youth work in partner organisations. By the end, participants will not only gain skills, but also create ready to use materials such as edited videos, campaign ideas, templates, and checklists. These resources can be reused and shared with colleagues, helping organisations keep strong youth participation and communicate better in the digital world young people live in. The final goal is stronger trust, better visibility, and more young people joining local youth activities. -Social Media Campaign Packs for event promotion and participation calls -Mini Toolkit with templates, checklists, and a content calendar model -Sample short videos and post formats that partners can reuse The project will involve 24 youth workers from partner organisations and 2 trainers, one from Slovakia and one from Greece. Follow up actions will include local workshops in each country and online sharing of open resources to support wider use in the youth work community. In this case our project objectives are : -To strengthen youth workers’ ability to reach and engage young people online, using the platforms and formats young people actually consume (reels, stories, short videos). -To develop practical skills in creating digital content for youth activities, including event promotion, storytelling and other big scale of project outcomes dissemination. -To build youth workers’ capacity to manage social media strategically, including content planning, posting routines, community interaction and basic analytics. -To improve youth workers’ video creation and editing skills, using simple mobile-friendly tools that can be applied immediately in youth work. -To support ethical, safe and wellbeing-aware digital communication, avoiding harmful practices while still being relevant and attractive to young audiences.
