The main objective of the project #SafeNetwork is to strengthen the digital safety competences and awareness of young Roma people in Slovakia, especially girls, who are at high risk of online abuse, grooming, sexting and loss of privacy. The project responds to a growing need in marginalised communities for prevention, critical digital literacy, and access to reliable information. We aim to empower 12 young Roma leaders (aged 16–25) through training and mentoring to become peer educators and facilitators in their own communities. They will lead awareness-raising activities focused on online safety, digital rights and respectful behaviour. The final phase of the project will be a nationwide online campaign, reaching over 10,000 young people via social media.
