"Youth Agents for Change - Combating Discrimination Based on Gender Age and Ethnicity" project involves three organizations from Europe and Central Asia, to be more specific: Poland, Kyrgyzstan, and Sweden. The project aims to promote transnational capacity building activities and mobility activities. Capacity-building activities aim to work on elimination of discrimination based on age, gender and ethnicity by putting youth in local communities as agents for change, who strive for a more democratic and inclusive society, where their rights are respected and their voices are heard. Transnational mobility activities ensure the exchange of best practices and experiences among three countries/members of the consortium and enable the successful application of these practices and experiences to reach the overall aim of the project. The main target groups of capacity-building activities are youth, youth organizations, young women, teachers, and duty bearers in southern region of Kyrgyzstan. Mobility activities involve young people, youth workers, EVS participants and CSOs from Kyrgyzstan, Sweden and Poland that will be involved in the project on short and long term basis and become integral part of the project by their involvement of the project and giving their inputs based on their own and unique experiences. Mobility participants will learn about mobilization techniques, youth and civil society organizations in a foreign context and different national and organizational structures, how to support local NGO in their work, get acquainted with new languages and social groups etc. The mobility participants will create sustainable project consortium that can survive the project period and share lessons learned on a broader scale, enabling structural impact in both European and Central Asian settings. Thus, projects activities are designed in a way so that they have strong impact on local, national, European and international levels. Project activities aim to build capacity of youth and youth organizations, to sensitize community members regarding the issues related to age, gender and ethnicity through meetings and information campaigns, to enable young people to become active citizens within their communities, who are included in democratic processes and demand their rights to be respected and protected, to create regional and international platforms for young people in order to exchange best practices and experiences.
