Even though you have heard countless times so far, read it, and say it yourself that "we live in a constantly changing world", that sentence is indeed a factual situation that often represents the starting point of many values, possibilities, questions, problems, and in general the way of life of contemporary man. Frequent changes are present in all domains of society, and are especially visible in the field of employment, where today, more than ever before, there are transformations in the structure, scope and types of jobs, while the labour market no longer guarantees permanent employment. Under conditions of ubiquitous competencies and mobility, transferable or portable skills are one of the ways to ensure market mobility, increase professional competitiveness and facilitate the transition to new professional roles.Transferable skills are skills that each individual develops through his career and experiences in everyday life. They include interpersonal, communication, organizational, leadership, negotiation and many other skills acquired through volunteerism, sports activities, hobbies, formal and non-formal education, as well as through experience in a business environment. Why are transferable skills important? In selecting candidates for the job, employers, in addition to professional qualifications, look at a range of skills that exceed the technical requirements of the workplace. The ability to demonstrate portable skills that you have will increase your chances of getting the job you want, as employers often seek out people who can identify and portray their transferable skills. Therefore, knowledge, development and identification of transferable skills is a very important process, precisely because these skills can be your decisive tool in enhancing professional competitiveness. What we want to solve: There are five critical skills most likely to increase odds of success across all outcomes and which employers expect employees to have: social skills; communication; leadership skill and entrepreneurial skills supported by the intrapersonal skills of self-control and positive self-concept.“E+ biz-up school: Transferable skills & entrepreneurial learning to better employability” fits in EU policies because it serves to improve the level of key competencies and skills of young people, including those with fewer opportunities and to enhance the international dimension of youth activities and enhance the capacity of youth workers through the promotion of mobility and cooperation between Program countries and Partner countries.
